Dunns Earthmoving, an earthmoving and oil & gas contractor operating in the Cooper-Erromanga Basin and Central Australia with a 55-vehicle fleet, needed to promote safer, more efficient driving, better manage remote vehicles and lone workers, and measure driver shift times to improve service levels while cutting vehicle damage from harsh road conditions. To meet these needs they turned to MiX Telematics and its MiX Fleet Manager solution.

MiX Telematics (implemented with channel partner Intellifleet) fitted the fleet with IVMS, satellite tracking, roll-over and panic alerts, live in‑cab feedback and advanced reporting/analytics including RAG driver scoring. The solution—installed initially in 48 vehicles—delivered a 98.7% improvement in driver scoring, more than $40,000 saved on suspension repairs, reduced vehicle damage and fuel costs, better compliance with client safety policies and stronger client retention, along with robust after‑sales support.
