Crusader Logistics, a Durban-based transport and logistics company operating 28 vehicles, needed a more reliable fleet management system to track 24/7 movements, improve routing and planning, and give customers peace of mind. In 2003 they engaged MiX Telematics and deployed the FM Communicator on-board units together with the FM‑Web portal.

MiX Telematics installed FM Communicator devices across the fleet and used FM‑Web reporting to manage service and maintenance schedules, monitor fuel consumption and driver behaviour, and provide real-time GPS/GPRS tracking.
