Thermo Systems - Customer Case Study

Thermo Systems, a leader in designing and installing mission‑critical PLC‑based control systems for validated pharmaceutical HVAC, utility systems and manufacturing, needed a cost‑effective, open, OPC‑based HMI/SCADA solution that could support FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance across chillers, labs and production facilities. Thermo Systems implemented Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions’ GENESIS32 suite (GraphWorX32, TrendWorX32 and AlarmWorX32), along with ReportWorX and WebHMI, to address these requirements.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions delivered a GENESIS32‑based solution that provided user‑friendly graphics, simplified point/alias management, secure WebHMI access and integrated audit trails, enforced logins and biometric support for regulatory accountability. The deployment met or exceeded Thermo Systems’ graphical and compliance needs, enabled OPC‑based interoperability and easier system expansion and migration, and is now widely used by Thermo and its customers in validated pharmaceutical HVAC, chiller plants, hospital labs and biopharmaceutical facilities, with ongoing support via Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions’ SupportWorX maintenance program.
