Tefal SAS, based in Rumilly, France, faced a high-energy manufacturing challenge—annual energy costs for production could reach €8 million—so the company launched an Energy Efficiency project to map and monitor electricity, gas and water without reworking existing systems. Working with Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions, Tefal deployed ICONICS software including GENESIS64, Hyper Historian, Energy AnalytiX, WebHMI, ReportWorX and BridgeWorX to collect real-time data, establish energy KPIs and provide web-accessible dashboards for operators and management.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented an integrated solution that connected 245 energy meters, 14 energy PLCs, 24 power devices and 9 manufacturing PLCs (plus MES data) to deliver dashboards, trend analysis, alerts and energy-per-piece calculations. The ICONICS deployment enabled automated consumption rollups, drill-down analysis, Excel reporting and quick ROI by preventing equipment overconsumption and avoiding regulatory penalties; Groupe SEB plans to scale the solution to nine more French sites and then to 20 additional sites worldwide.
