Sussex IM, a custom injection molding company in Sussex, WI, needed to modernize an aging machine monitoring and alarm system to improve visibility into cycle times, counts and alarms. Because Sussex IM exclusively uses Mitsubishi Electric PLCs, they selected Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions and its ICONICS automation software—initially GENESIS32 and later upgraded to GENESIS64 with WebHMI, AssetWorX and AlarmWorX64—to replace outdated monitoring and logging tools.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented a four‑phase GENESIS64 rollout (new plant bell/lights, plant‑wide TVs displaying machine status, logged bells tied to variance reports, and asset management), giving technicians real‑time alarm detail and historical metrics. The result was faster, more accurate first‑time fixes, elimination of manual Excel configuration errors, improved production visibility for data‑driven decisions, and measurable operational savings and profitability, with the ICONICS system now integrated at the main site and planned for a second facility.
