Simsmart, a provider of physics-based simulation and training tools for military and industrial applications, faced the challenge of emulating real control panels and simulating authentic data, alarms, and events for their training systems. They engaged Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions to implement a solution using the GENESIS HMI/SCADA suite, specifically its visualization and data modules, to meet these integral training requirements.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions provided the GENESIS suite, including GraphWorX for visualization and AlarmWorX/TrendWorX for alarms and data simulation. This allowed Simsmart to create highly realistic, interactive trainee stations where instructors could introduce intentional malfunctions and immediately measure responses. The results duplicated the exact look and feel of real systems, enabling secure, hands-on training and providing a powerful tool for evaluating trainee performance in realistic scenarios.
