Simsmart, a Brossard (Quebec) provider of process systems design software and training for military ship systems, needed realistic, secure simulation and training environments that duplicated local control panels, machinery operator pages and fault conditions. To meet those needs they worked with Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions, deploying the GENESIS32 HMI/SCADA suite including GraphWorX for visualization, TrendWorX for logging and analysis, AlarmWorX for alarm simulation and the ICONICS OPC Simulator.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented GraphWorX-driven GUIs and OPC-integrated simulations so trainees interact with emulated controls while instructors inject malfunctions and monitor responses. The solution delivered hands-on, high-fidelity training in a safe environment, enabled immediate measurement of trainee performance, supported realistic alarm and event scenarios, and strengthened Simsmart’s ability to deliver complex engineering and training applications.
