SASKI - Customer Case Study

SASKI, the General Directorate of Sakarya Water and Sewerage Administration, provides clean water to about 1,030,000 residents across Sakarya, Turkey, operating multiple treatment plants, tanks, pump stations and millions of meters of pipeline. Facing the need to modernize field data collection and monitoring across hundreds of sites — including integration of over 50,000 tags, OPC-connected equipment, multiple servers/databases, and Esri GIS — SASKI selected Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions to supply an automation/SCADA platform (GENESIS64, Hyper Historian, WebHMI, ReportWorX, AlarmWorX).

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions deployed the GENESIS64 suite and connected components, integrating with PLCs, SQL/Oracle databases, distributed collectors and Esri mapping to deliver full station status, device control, fast historical archiving/retrieval, advanced reporting and alarm management. The scalable, open architecture and strong vendor support improved operator visibility and analytics for qualified decision-making, met SASKI’s large tag-count and multi-server requirements, and positioned the utility to expand ICONICS-based monitoring to drinking water, wastewater, IoT metering and other applications.
