Preview of the Port of Koper Case Study

Port of Koper runs 364 days a year with Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions

Port of Koper, the largest and most important port in Slovenia, needed to keep expanding its terminals and capabilities while managing more equipment across multiple terminal control systems. To stay ahead of nearby competing ports, it worked with Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions and system integrator Robotina, d.o.o. to update its control software with GENESIS64™ HMI/SCADA and the GENESIS32™ suite.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented a standardized, centralized automation platform across all terminals, replacing multiple competitor systems and integrating more than 12,000 tags from equipment and systems including PLCs, sensors, SQL Server, Exchange Server, and the port’s TinO application. The result was greater efficiency, easier changes across the entire operation, and support for 364 days a year, 24 hours a day operations, helping Port of Koper run more smoothly and competitively.
