MultiTrode, an ISO9001 designer and manufacturer of pump station controllers, RTUs, level sensors and SCADA software for municipal water and wastewater networks, needed an open, easy-to-use SCADA platform that integrated directly with its field hardware and minimized operational and lifetime costs. To meet this challenge MultiTrode built its Outpost 2 product on Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions’ GENESIS32 OPC Web‑enabled HMI/SCADA suite to provide graphical interfaces, alarming, trending and historian capabilities for remote monitoring and control.

Using Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions’ GENESIS32, Outpost 2 delivers SCADA, historian, MTU and RTU integration, web/mobile access and rapid configuration via drag‑and‑drop ActiveX controls. The solution lowered operational and engineering costs, reduced the need for site visits, improved asset performance and enabled simple expansion through open protocols—meeting MultiTrode’s goals for low lifetime cost and easier system management.
