A Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions Case Study
Metal Trade Comax a.s., a Czech producer of coil‑coated metal sheets and non‑ferrous alloys, needed a unified monitoring, control and reporting solution to ensure coated metals leave the line without defects, aggregate large volumes of production and trend data, track energy usage, and integrate production data with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and heterogeneous PLCs. To address these data‑mining, visualization and interoperability challenges, Metal Trade Comax a.s. engaged Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions.
Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions deployed ICONICS GENESIS32 with GraphWorX32, WebHMI, ReportWorX32, TrendWorX32, AlarmWorX32 and DataWorX32 to provide OPC data aggregation, SNMP energy monitoring, ERP integration and remote access; the 8‑month rollout interfaces with Siemens SIMOTION and S7‑300 PLCs and stores large volumes of trend data on Microsoft SQL Server. The solution enabled automated surface‑defect evaluation with three high‑speed cameras, centralized alarms and reporting (technological and customer reports), and delivered measurable improvements in data logging, reporting and system interoperability for Metal Trade Comax a.s.
