Merrill Lynch needed a modern monitor-and-control solution for its Hopewell, NJ campus to manage HVAC, lighting, energy, security and fire systems across a large multi-building complex. Merrill Lynch engaged Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions, deploying ICONICS’ GENESIS32 HMI/SCADA suite with GraphWorX32, AlarmWorX32 and TrendWorX32 to provide an integrated, web-enabled building management system.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions delivered an OEM GENESIS32 Energy Smart Buildings system across 12 buildings (including 8 office buildings totaling 1,598,400 sq ft, 4 assembly buildings totaling 246,000 sq ft, and four parking garages with 2,594 spaces), with 1,000+ graphical screens, 3D visuals and animated device indicators. The solution uses ice plants for off-peak freezing and daytime cooling to time-shift energy use and trim the energy bill, and users reported highly positive feedback for realistic graphics and ease of operation—resulting in improved comfort, safety and streamlined facility control.
