The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) needed a vendor-agnostic automation platform to run and teach from its 265‑acre International Training & Education Center (ITEC) in Crosby, TX, which houses multiple proprietary Building Automation Systems across classrooms, labs, dormitories and a central utility plant. To aggregate data for operations, analytics and curriculum development, the IUOE partnered with Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions and deployed ICONICS products including GENESIS64 HMI/SCADA and AnalytiX.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented GENESIS64 and AnalytiX—mostly via remote teams during the COVID pandemic—delivering real‑time dashboards and centralized visibility across all BASs, IAQ integration with Wellstat, and mobile access for engineers. The solution enabled proactive fault diagnosis and maintenance, reduced energy and capital expenses, improved occupant comfort, and fed real operational data into the IUOE’s Advanced Building Automation curriculum, yielding significant cost savings and heightened operational intelligence.
