InSinkErator, a division of Emerson Electric Co. and the world’s largest maker of food waste disposers and instant hot water dispensers, faced capacity strain and needed better visibility into manufacturing problem areas to raise productivity. To address this, InSinkErator engaged Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions and deployed ICONICS GENESIS32 (GraphWorX32, TrendWorX™, AlarmWorX32™, DataWorX™32) along with the BizViz Suite (PortalWorX™, ReportWorX™, BridgeWorX™) to deliver web-enabled HMI/SCADA and business visualization.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented a digital dashboard and business scorecard that monitors OEE and KPIs, provides drill‑down machine views, historical/current alarm viewers with email alerts, and flexible Excel reporting. The solution currently covers 91 pieces of equipment across 20 graphical displays, enabled faster root-cause analysis via Six Sigma DMAIC, reduced downtime through real‑time alerts, and gave managers measurable visibility to verify improvements — with plans to add 71 more machines to broaden impact.
