FLSmidth, a global provider of engineering and equipment to the mining and cement industries, needed a ready-made, Microsoft/Azure-compatible system to centrally monitor asset health across its worldwide Monitoring Control Centers, deliver event alerts and KPI reports, and reduce downtime. FLSmidth selected Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions and deployed ICONICS modules including GENESIS64, Hyper Historian, AlarmWorX64, KPIWorX, BridgeWorX64 and WebHMI to fit into its Azure-based technology stack.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented remote dashboards, alarming, historical trending and automated reporting so FLSmidth can detect issues (for example identifying an oil leak in a crusher), respond quickly, reduce downtime, increase uptime and extend asset life, while lowering operational energy use and carbon footprint. The ICONICS solution generates event and periodic KPI reports, sends alarm emails to monitoring teams, and is being scaled from 230 plants toward about 400 plants (roughly ten thousand assets), delivering clear operational and sustainability gains.
