E.ON Trend s.r.o. - Customer Case Study

E.ON Trend s.r.o., the Czech subsidiary responsible for electricity generation within the E.ON group, needed to replace a legacy Promotic Microsys system and centrally monitor and control six remote hydro‑powered plants. They required a secure, redundant SCADA/HMI with real‑time alarm notification, superior graphics and data redundancy to consolidate production planning and historical archiving. Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions (ICONICS) was selected, deploying GENESIS32 and related ICONICS modules to meet these needs.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented a redundant GENESIS32 V9 solution with AlarmWorX32, GraphWorX32, TrendWorX32, ScriptWorX32, DataWorX32 and WebHMI, using SOAP/XML and OPC redundancy and integrated by Bohemia Instruments/Invelt. The system centralized control of six plants (30 MW) up to 100 km away, monitors and logs over 5,000 analog and digital points, was deployed in six months, and delivered real‑time alarms and trend logging—reducing trips to remote sites, speeding response to problems, and lowering operating costs.
