ENSTOR - Customer Case Study

ENSTOR, a subsidiary of Iberdrola Renewables, operates five natural gas storage facilities across North America (with two more in development) and needed a reliable way to safely receive, store and deliver gas while integrating diverse PLCs, flow computers and site software into a single operational view. Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions’ software suite (GENESIS32 with AlarmWorX, TrendWorX, BizViz and PortalWorX), implemented in partnership with Accelemetrics, was selected to meet these multi-site monitoring, control and reporting challenges.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented a GENESIS32-based control and visualization system with OPC connectivity (DataWorX), enabling integration with Accelemetrics’ CommFidence and Gas Storage Processing Engine. Installations were completed in months, TrendWorX data from five sites is centralized at ENSTOR’s Katy hub, and operators now have proactive alarms, centralized reporting, line-pack and compressor monitoring, plant balancing and regulatory emissions reporting—delivering faster deployments, improved operational visibility and regulatory compliance across ENSTOR’s facilities.
