Engie - Customer Case Study

Engie operates the 665 MW Al‑Rusail Power Plant in Oman and needed a simple, reliable way to monitor and record the composition and quality of the natural gas feeding its Frame 9E turbines. To analyze natural gas chromatograph data within its SCADA environment, Engie selected Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions’ software suite (GENESIS64, GraphWorX64, ReportWorX64), delivered in-country by longtime integrator Oriental Control Systems (OCS).

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented a GENESIS64 SCADA system with a Modbus Ethernet OPC server linked over fiber to the chromatograph, plus GraphWorX dashboards, TrendWorX logging and ReportWorX exports. The deployment gives operators real‑time visualization and automated trend logging, enabling combustion optimization that improves turbine efficiency and reduces emissions, while eliminating manual reporting errors and speeding workflow — a solution Engie has relied on for years with rapid implementation and strong operational reliability.
