Cucamonga Valley Water District - Customer Case Study

Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD), serving roughly 170,000 residents in Rancho Cucamonga and surrounding areas, needed a modern HMI/SCADA solution that would integrate with existing AB Controls and Rockwell systems, move from Windows 2000 to XP, and provide web access, mobile monitoring, wide alarm notification and comprehensive reporting. To meet these needs CVWD worked with Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions, deploying ICONICS products including GENESIS32, WebHMI, Pocket GENESIS, AlarmWorX and ReportWorX.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented an enterprise GENESIS32 solution with WebHMI for browser-based access, Pocket GENESIS for mobile monitoring/control, AlarmWorX for distributed alarm notification and ReportWorX for regulatory reporting. The system integrated with CVWD’s existing controllers, supported OS migration, enabled remote plant monitoring and control, and delivered the reporting required by the California Department of Health—meeting CVWD’s goals for web, mobile, alarming and reporting across multiple project phases.
