Converteam, a leading supplier of power conversion engineering for marine and offshore industries, needed a robust HMI/SCADA solution for a fleet of LNG tankers that met strict marine safety, night‑vision and regulatory requirements while offering extensibility, modularity and OPC connectivity. To satisfy these demands, Converteam selected Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions and its GENESIS32 HMI as the standard for the C‑Series Vessel Control System.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented GENESIS32 via OPC servers across the vessels, providing daylight/dusk/night modes, touch‑friendly graphics, acknowledged command feedback, alarm/trending and historical data logging. The deployment supported over 750K HMI tags, 220K alarms/events and 5,600 I/Os, cut engineering time through reusable modular objects, enabled fast operator training (conversant in three days) and delivered a long‑term, 25‑year solution with improved testing, commissioning and compliance.
