ContourGlobal’s Maritsa East 3 Thermal Power Plant needed a full-scale modernization and control‑system integration to meet European environmental and safety standards, increase output and centralize disparate plant data and alarms. To address this, ContourGlobal selected Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions’ GENESIS32 software (implemented by system integrator EXBIT) along with modules such as DataWorX, WebHMI, AlarmWorX and ScriptWorX for OPC-based data aggregation, visualization and remote access.

EXBIT deployed Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions’ GENESIS32 suite to consolidate over 8,000 OPC tags with DataWorX32, build GraphWorX/TrendWorX visualizations, enable WebHMI thin‑client access, and implement millisecond‑accurate “first out” alarm handling and mobile notifications via AlarmWorX and ScriptWorX. The implementation delivered full real‑time visibility and control, helped achieve ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification, improved reliability, and raised plant output from 840 MW to 908 MW.
