Central Asia Metals Plc modernizes Sasa Mine production with Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions and 18,000–20,000 tons of zinc output

Central Asia Metals Plc (CAML) at the Sasa Mine in North Macedonia needed better real-time visibility across underground mining, flotation processing, and concentrate production, along with a way to connect multi-vendor equipment and reduce data silos. Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions provided GENESIS SCADA and HMI software, supported by DeviceXPlorer OPC Server, to create a modern, centralized automation platform.

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions helped implement a unified system that lets operators monitor and control mining, processing, and production data in one place, improving situational awareness, connectivity, and decision-making. The project reduced manual intervention and downtime, and gave CAML a scalable foundation for future expansion, including planned temperature, vibration, and ERP integrations.
