Amsterdam Airport Schiphol - Customer Case Study

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, the Netherlands’ national airport handling about 47 million passengers yearly, needed a scalable, open building-automation platform to centralize monitoring and control of HVAC, fire, security, lighting, telecom and water systems across its large terminal complex. To manage hundreds of thousands of data points, support multiple operators and enable future expansion, Schiphol partnered with Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions and deployed an OEM version of GENESIS32 (including GraphWorX, AlarmWorX and WebHMI).

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions implemented the M5 OEM GENESIS32 suite on three Windows terminal servers and 30+ operator PCs, delivering 10,000 GraphWorX images and monitoring roughly 300,000 tags with capacity for over one million alarms/events per month. The solution supports 30 operator stations and 30 screens, has run reliably for three years, sped display development through Alias functionality, simplified data extraction without converters, and enabled easy expansion to web and mobile platforms.
