East Coast Distributor adopts MITS solution and sees both short and long term impact

Norfolk Wire & Electronics, an East Coast distributor with 10 locations, needed a better way to generate accurate and consistent reports from its ERP system. Using Crystal for reporting made it difficult for branch managers to create reports on their own, and the process often pulled the CFO into repetitive work.

Norfolk turned to MITS for interactive reporting and business intelligence. After installation, the company quickly identified a reporting error that flagged an $80,000 inventory discrepancy caused by a misplaced decimal point, and MITS also replaced the need for 5-6 laborious Crystal Reports with one faster, more consistent report. Norfolk said managers could access information without extra help and that MITS improved the speed and reliability of its reporting process.
