Busy HVAC Supply Firm Sees Early Gains from New Analytics Solution

Munch’s Supply Co., a fourth-generation HVAC wholesale supplier with six branches in the Chicago and northwest Indiana markets, needed a faster way to get key information out of its Eclipse system. At an Activant Eclipse Summit conference, the company learned about MITS Discover Analytics for Eclipse as a way to make important data more accessible to business users.

With help from Eclipse and MITS, Munch’s Supply Co. implemented drillable analysis hypercubes and an executive Dashboard. The Accounts Receivables cube helped credit managers focus on accounts needing attention and improve cash flow, while sales and inventory reports helped managers spot changing buying patterns and simplify the addition of a new product line. MITS’ dashboard also gave executives a quick view of sales rep performance, branch sales, GP, and other key metrics.
