Harpenden Building Society, a traditional mutual lender founded in 1953 with multiple branch locations, needed to modernize how it managed customer records. To reduce paper, free expensive storage, meet business continuity and disaster‑recovery requirements, and achieve a true single view of the customer, the Society upgraded to Mitratech’s fourth‑generation DataStore.
The upgrade introduced scanning of historic mortgage files, MS‑Office and core‑system integration, and branchwide access to secure customer records, including cashier front‑end access. As a result the Society now retrieves documents in seconds instead of minutes, has improved customer file quality, meets DR objectives, and benefits from powerful search, a user‑friendly interface and a future‑proof ECM platform.
