A major German asset manager partnered with d-fine (with ClusterSeven technology) to tackle uncontrolled End User Computing (EUC) and Shadow IT. Heavy reliance on EUC tools had created a lack of transparency, management and control; the client wanted a sustainable EUC governance framework that preserved business flexibility and time-to-market.

d-fine drafted a stakeholder-backed EUC policy, ran workshops and used ClusterSeven Discovery to scan the estate, cutting candidate files from ~60 million to 6 million and then to about 30 potential EUC applications per user for criticality assessment.
