The Independent Order of Foresters is a 140+-year‑old fraternal benefit society serving more than three million members in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. Its corporate legal team had no centralized records system—relying on spreadsheets, an Access database, minute books and a storage room of hard copy files—which created duplication, slow searches, and an inability to produce timely reports for stakeholders.

Foresters implemented Mitratech’s Secretariat entity management system to consolidate current and historical records into a single source of truth, establish permissioned access with two system administrators and provide over a dozen user licenses. The change eliminated duplicate entries, enabled fast report generation, delivered measurable time savings and made the legal department more organized, efficient and responsive to stakeholder needs.
