A home-grown Lotus Notes matter system was limited in integration and adoption, making quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley reserve reporting, confidential settlements, third‑party subpoena tracking and M&A document management slow, error-prone and hard to standardize.
In 2003 Aon deployed Mitratech’s TeamConnect across its legal organization and 17 satellite offices, creating a single, secure database with standardized templates, pull-down menus, currency conversion and auditable permission controls. The system streamlined SOX reserve certification, tightened settlement confidentiality and approvals, simplified subpoena and audit handling, centralized M&A records, and delivered faster, more accurate global reporting and consistent legal processes.
