Global Bank Streamlines Loan-Generation Process with HotDocs

Global Bank, a Western Europe–headquartered lender, faced a slow, costly, and error-prone loan-document and approval process that began as manual specs passed between loan experts and word processors and later required automation of data routing, approval analytics, and fraud controls. To address these challenges the bank deployed Mitratech HotDocs (HotDocs) as a web application, ultimately making it available to some 9,000 customer representatives for document generation and structured data capture.

Mitratech HotDocs was used to build the bank’s Expert Loan interviews and integrate with a proprietary workflow, enabling conditional, interactive data gathering across more than 6,000 potential data items, automated business-rule analysis with color-coded flags, rights management to prevent collusion, and PDF document generation in seconds. The result was dramatic efficiency and quality improvements—approval officers review focused data rather than long reports, risk and human error were reduced, millions of loan and collateral documents were produced over a decade, and the solution scaled to thousands of users.
