Fenwick & West LLP, a leading technology and life sciences law firm with over 300 attorneys, faced a slow, manual document-generation process that relied on downloading generic Microsoft Word forms and hand-editing them. To automate and accelerate this workflow, Fenwick deployed Mitratech HotDocs firm‑wide so attorneys could standardize templates, create document packages from client interview data, and offer external-facing interviews clients can complete directly.

Mitratech HotDocs was integrated with Fenwick’s SharePoint template management, writes answers back to internal files, sends generated documents to Adobe EchoSign for e-signature, and stores final files in OpenText — streamlining review and storage. The new process produces, on average, more than 850 legal documents per month from 89 HotDocs interview sessions, reduced turnaround time, and freed attorneys to focus on client‑specific legal issues while improving service quality and efficiency.
