AXA XL Insurance, a global property and casualty insurer with more than 7,000 employees, faced a highly manual, time-consuming and error-prone policy issuance process that involved extensive typing and repetition of client names and policy numbers. To solve this, AXA XL partnered with Mitratech HotDocs to deploy HotDocs document automation across its policy teams.

Mitratech HotDocs implemented department-specific HotDocs template libraries and dynamic templates so policy issuers could quickly generate base policies and endorsements while non-issuance staff could view but not alter documents, preserving integrity. The deployment shortened and standardized drafting, eliminated a substantial backlog, improved document accuracy and customer service, freed staff to focus on higher-value work, and cut costs by reducing print demand as more policies were delivered as emailed PDFs.
