American AgCredit, a borrower-owned lender in the Farm Credit System with roughly $10 billion in assets across California, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Kansas, needed to replace an aging semi-custom application that couldn’t produce dynamic documents or scale after several mergers. Seeking a more flexible, user-friendly way to standardize loan documentation, the organization evaluated 15 vendors and selected Mitratech HotDocs for document automation.

Working with Mitratech HotDocs Professional Services, AgCredit updated and marked up documents, created user interviews and help screens, automated templates, and integrated HotDocs with its loan origination database. The deployment — now in use for over five years and easily rolled out through three subsequent mergers — consolidated up to eight note variations into a single template, simplified maintenance, reduced redundant data entry, sped responses to regulatory changes, and required minimal training for new staff.
