Kirkman Group, a Lake Oswego, Oregon manufacturer of nutritional supplements for people with special dietary needs, had been using SYSPRO to manage manufacturing data but found it didn’t integrate well with other accounting systems. The lack of seamless integration and responsive support created operational friction as the company sought a more compatible, cost-effective solution.

In 2010 Kirkman moved to MISys Manufacturing paired with QuickBooks, which lowered costs and — importantly — delivered much stronger post-sale support: fast technical responses, weekly live Q&A sessions, and regular, well-documented upgrades. While MISys still experiences typical software glitches, ongoing support and continuous improvement have allowed Kirkman to use the system more efficiently and expand its range of applications.
