Wonderful Pistachios Gets Cracking with AI-Driven Wi-Fi

Wonderful Pistachios, the world’s largest vertically integrated pistachio and almond grower, faced growing Wi‑Fi complaints and legacy WLAN scaling issues that hindered employees from working anywhere on campus. To modernize connectivity, Wonderful Pistachios selected Mist AI’s AI‑driven Mist Learning WLAN, deploying Mist AP41/AP41E and AP61 access points to replace its legacy system.

Mist AI implemented a cloud‑based, microservices WLAN across five locations—supporting 500 employees in 33 buildings with roughly 300 Mist APs—delivering automated RF optimization, simplified guest access and extended outdoor coverage. The Mist AI solution removed recurring performance problems and helpdesk complaints, enabled reliable access to Oracle and collaboration tools, and created a foundation for future services like Bluetooth‑based asset tracking.
