The Pet Shoppe, a top North American pet retailer with 1,500+ stores and 40,000+ employees, needed to replace a decade‑old Wi‑Fi system to improve operational efficiency, support voice and handheld devices, and deliver location‑based customer engagement despite having no IT staff at individual stores. After trials of Aerohive, Aruba, Meraki and Mist, The Pet Shoppe selected Mist AI and its Learning WLAN—deploying Mist Wi‑Fi Assurance, Mist Bluetooth LE Engagement services and AP‑41 access points—to meet requirements for reliability, scalability and seamless guest access.

Mist AI implemented 10,000+ AP‑41s and cloud services using preconfigured templates, Service Level Expectations, automated troubleshooting and virtual BLE with ML‑driven location (1–3 m accuracy).
