Writable Depends On Mission To Create Agile, Scalable And Supportable AWS Cloud Environment

Writable, an online service that helps assess and monitor student writing growth, needed to free up its lean IT team from manual DevOps work while ensuring its cloud infrastructure could scale with school-day traffic spikes and quiet overnight periods. The company had been running on Microsoft Azure and wanted a more automated, containerized environment, so it turned to Mission for Cloud Foundation and ongoing Cloud Elevate services.

Mission migrated Writable’s applications to AWS and built a modern platform using Terraform infrastructure-as-code, Docker-based microservices on Amazon ECS and AWS Fargate, and a CI/CD pipeline tied to Bitbucket, along with logging, security, and disaster recovery tooling. The result was faster deployments, improved performance and issue resolution, lower cloud costs through autoscaling, and easier compliance audits for student data protection; Mission also helped Writable speed up new environment and product launches by reusing infrastructure components.
