Mission Modernizes Field Nation’s Container Environments With AWS EKS And Infrastructure-As-Code

Field Nation, working with Mission, needed to modernize its container environment on AWS. Its SRE team was using first-generation Kubernetes tooling that required significant customization, and the company wanted to move to AWS EKS to reduce complexity and keep internal teams focused on higher-value work.

Mission implemented a Terraform infrastructure-as-code template for repeatable, on-demand EKS cluster provisioning and supported Field Nation’s shift toward declarative GitOps practices. Mission also delivered knowledge transfer training so the team could operate the new environment confidently. As a result, Field Nation saved on costs, improved operational efficiency, and now uses Mission Cloud Foundation to support ongoing cost optimization and AWS best-practice alignment.
