Lower Cloud Costs While Maintaining Application Performance During COVID Workload Spike

MHNext, a provider of a global online service, needed to maintain the performance of its legacy application and database while reducing cloud spend. MHNext turned to Mission for help, using Mission Cloud Foundation guidance to address rising infrastructure costs and keep services running smoothly during a workload spike.

Mission recommended AWS EC2 Spot Instances and a CloudFront private pricing agreement to cut compute and content delivery costs. With Mission’s solution, MHNext reduced EC2 server instance costs by 57% and CloudFront costs by 62%, lowering total cloud spend from $39K to $25K per month and avoiding a projected 33% increase in cloud resource costs during COVID-related demand growth.
