Examity And Mission: Working Together For A Successful Migration To AWS

Examity partnered with Mission to address growing demand on its learning validation platform, especially as the Covid pandemic drove more test-takers to remote testing. To improve scalability, availability, and security, Examity decided to move from Microsoft Azure to AWS, and Mission supported the migration using the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) and cloud design services.

Mission implemented the AWS environment using an infrastructure-as-code approach and integrated it with Examity’s existing CI/CD pipeline to speed up development, test, staging, and production rollouts. The new setup improved database response times, served static images faster, strengthened security with end-to-end encryption to support SOC 2 compliance, and improved high availability through better RPO/RTO. Mission also helped Examity reduce design, build, and implementation costs by 30% compared with hiring 4–5 internal resources.
