Conductor Builds First-to-Market Platform with Mission and Amazon FSx for Lustre

Conductor, a cloud-based rendering platform for VFX, VR/AR, and animation studios, wanted to launch the industry’s first multi-cloud rendering solution on AWS. Facing a tight two-month deadline to build a prototype for SIGGRAPH, Conductor turned to Mission and Amazon FSx for Lustre to quickly create a high-performance storage architecture from scratch.

Mission built Conductor a proof of concept on AWS using FSx for Lustre, leveraging deep AWS and media & entertainment expertise to meet the aggressive timeline. The result was a fully functional, near-production-ready platform demoed successfully at SIGGRAPH, with Conductor reporting that Mission’s work saved more than a month of programming effort and helped position the company to quintuple the number of studios it can support.
