Virgin Megastore, part of Azadea Group, wanted to improve the checkout experience in its Dubai Mall flagship and later across its UAE stores. Shoppers enjoyed browsing the electronics, books, smartphones, and accessories on offer, but long queues at payment time were causing abandoned baskets and frustration.
MishiPay deployed its Scan & Go mobile self-checkout solution, letting customers scan items, connect their loyalty CIRCLE card, pay by card or Apple Pay/Google Pay, and receive an electronic receipt. The rollout delivered a 23% higher basket size, a 20% adoption rate during peak weekend times, over 260 staff hours saved, and customer satisfaction of 4.88 out of 5, prompting Virgin Megastore to expand the solution across all stores.
