MishiPay worked with a leading grocery retailer in Spain, an anonymized customer with more than 950 stores, to improve the in-store shopping and checkout experience while capturing more value from frequent grocery visits. The retailer needed a faster, more seamless way for shoppers to scan items, see promotions in real time, and complete purchases across different store formats.

MishiPay deployed its Scan & Go solution across four pilot stores, using native iOS and Android apps plus a web app, and integrated with the retailer’s product catalog, promotions, loyalty, age-verification, and checkout systems. The rollout was completed in six weeks and delivered a 14% net increase in sales per user, a 4.53/5 average user rating, 4.4 hours of checkout staff time saved per store per week, 83% retention, and a 22% increase in return visits from push notifications.
