How Lecturer Ayman Jawhar Keeps MBA Students Engaged in the Virtual Classroom

INSEAD, the world-renowned business school, had to quickly move its new MBA product management course online when COVID-19 forced its Singapore campus to shut down. Lecturer Ayman Jawhar needed a way to keep 45 students engaged and collaborating remotely, while still preserving the interactive feel of the classroom.

Miro provided the solution by giving the class a shared digital whiteboard for the entire course, including a “virtual playground” warm-up, team workspaces built with frames on a single board, and real-time as well as asynchronous collaboration. With Miro, Jawhar reported higher engagement than in a physical classroom and was able to connect students in France and Singapore; the article does not provide a specific numeric performance metric beyond the 45 students in the class.
