A MIP Fund Accounting Case Study

Preview of the Neosho Case Study

Ozark Tri-County Health Care DBA ACCESS Family Care

Neosho-based ACCESS Family Care, led by CFO Sheila Long, operates a $20 million community health system serving over 24,000 patients with 230 staff across multiple counties. They had outgrown Sage MAS 90 and cash-basis processes, relying on multiple spreadsheets and outside accountants to track grants, depreciation, and funding — creating an urgent need for a fund accounting solution with flexible coding and robust reporting.

MIP Fund Accounting implemented an end-to-end fund accounting system, building a multi-segment chart of accounts and using MIP’s coding, reporting, EWS, Payroll and HR capabilities. As a result, MIP Fund Accounting enabled ACCESS to track every grant and avoid double-counting (including a COVID/PPP code), produce reports far faster, manage nine chart segments, secure a $2.4M loan and $5M in COVID grants within 60 days, and support expansion of 4 dental clinics, 2 medical clinics and a mobile unit — all while doing more with the same staff.
