A MIP Fund Accounting Case Study
The Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois (CAPCIL) is a nonprofit serving low‑income families and seniors across six counties. CAPCIL was concerned that keeping its fund accounting software on a local server left it vulnerable to data loss and limited remote access, so it moved its MIP Fund Accounting solution to the cloud using the MIP Cloud service.
MIP Fund Accounting hosted CAPCIL’s data in an SSAE16‑compliant data center, removing the need to maintain local hardware and backups and delivering “iron‑clad” security and anytime/anywhere access. The MIP Cloud deployment ensured business continuity—staff can access financial information from anywhere, preventing work stoppages when key personnel are away—and supports CAPCIL’s roughly 140 staff serving nearly 24,000 individuals annually.
