A MIP Fund Accounting Case Study
Lexington Humane Society (LHS), the largest pet adoption agency in Central Kentucky, was losing donations and wasting staff time because of an antiquated website and clunky third‑party fundraising tools. MIP Fund Accounting stepped in to modernize LHS’s online giving and event registration by implementing Abila Fundraising Online (AFO) (and Fundraising50) to improve donor trust, simplify checkout, and reduce manual processing.
With MIP Fund Accounting’s AFO implementation, LHS saw immediate gains: $68,546 raised in the first quarter on the new system, an estimated 17 hours saved per month (204 hours per year), a 23% increase in Tails & Ales online registrations ($13,675 → $16,820), doubled event donations (Mutt Strut $2,365 → $4,500), higher monthly donor revenue (113 donors/ $2,500 → 140 donors/ $4,200), and a jump in summer camp registrations and revenue (16 → 76 campers; $2,150 → $12,390).
