A Minitab Case Study
Betfair, one of the world’s largest online sports betting communities, needed to improve the effectiveness of its outbound marketing calls to newly registered customers who had not yet funded or placed bets. To solve this challenge, Betfair turned to Minitab Statistical Software to better understand why contact and conversion rates were low and how to improve the process.
Using Minitab’s statistical analysis, DOE, interaction plots, capability analysis, and control charts, Betfair identified key drivers such as call timing and lead time after registration, then redesigned the calling process to reach customers much sooner. The result was a 37% increase in conversion rate to more than 65%, a gross revenue benefit of £284,327 for the Spanish team, and an additional £311,375 in leveraged revenue across other international teams.
