Rubber Manufacturer Sets Out to Build Culture of Continuous Improvement and Data-Driven Decision-Making

HEXPOL Compounding, a global leader in rubber compounding, needed to eliminate waste, improve business performance, and build a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making in response to rising customer expectations, sustainability goals, and business growth. To support this effort, HEXPOL used Minitab Statistical Software along with Companion by Minitab (now Minitab Engage) for project management and Lean problem-solving training.

Minitab helped HEXPOL implement DMAIC roadmaps, project charters, SIPOCs, process maps, fishbone diagrams, C&E matrices, CT Trees, and Pareto tools to standardize training and guide projects across global sites. After two waves of training and certification of more than 30 Green Belts, HEXPOL reported significant savings, with more expected over the next 3–5 years, while also streamlining and managing projects across 17 locations in the United States and Mexico.
