A Minga Case Study
Sanger West High School, a new high school in California, faced significant challenges after transitioning from a fully virtual model to in-person learning. The school struggled with inefficient, manual processes for tasks like issuing tardy passes and managing attendance, which consumed valuable teacher time. They also used a disjointed collection of software tools that failed to integrate, making it difficult to promote events and build a strong campus community. To address this, they turned to the Minga platform.
By implementing Minga's integrated platform, the school consolidated its operations into a single system. Key features deployed included Digital IDs, a Hall Pass module, and a Check-In system to streamline attendance and monitor student movement. Sanger West then leveraged Minga's Behavior & Rewards module to launch "Minga Madness," a weekly event where students redeem points for snacks, which dramatically improved community engagement. The measurable outcomes were substantial: over 100,000 points were assigned to students, 8,740 praises were issued, and 815 snack items were redeemed in a single semester, all while significantly improving administrative efficiency and campus safety. Minga was instrumental in helping the school build a vibrant, tight-knit community.
